Submit your work during our 2018 Call for Entries!

We’re late! We’re late! Make no bones about it, the New Art Film Festival wants to see your current motion picture works to consider for our ninth annual program at the Art Theater in downtown Champaign, Illinois, so now is the time to enter! Our 2018 Call for Entries opened back on Wednesday, July 11, and will close after Friday, August 31, giving you plenty of time to pick and choose what to send our way. As always, there is no entry fee and, as will other recent shows, we’ll need to enforce a maximum run time for what we will be willing to review since, for the first time ever, the NAFF will take place on a weeknight – Tuesday, October 30. We’re saying 20 minutes is the limit. Otherwise, as you’ll see outlined in our official announcement, the process will be familiar to you.

Yours truly is once again in a situation where I am spending most of my time away from Champaign-Urbana so I will be pulling NAFF magic out of my hat from afar. Always feel free to send messages through our Facebook or NewArtFilmFestivalCU [at] gmail [dot] com and I will reply promptly. We will have a few items of business to talk about between now and the schedule announcement date, which we hope to be right around Monday, October 1, so keep watch for some posts to appear here on the Web site about them.

Finally, we are going to start pitching in advance to find NAFF help on a volunteer or low-pay basis. This may include event photography, graphic design, and managing press opportunities. Shoot me a message using the methods above if you’d love to hear more about them.

Awaiting the goods,

Jason Pankoke
